Miami International Airport (MIA) is a popular arrival point for UK visitors flying direct to South Florida, combining city, beach, and the start of the Florida Keys.
Tampa International Airport (TPA) offers an excellent base for the Gulf Coast, with easy access to Clearwater, St Petersburg, and central Florida.
Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) is a popular alternative to Miami for UK visitors flying into South Florida, often with competitive flight options from UK airports.
Insurance is the single biggest source of confusion for UK visitors hiring a car in Florida. American rental counter staff are trained to upsell additional cover, often to travellers who are already fully protected.
Every Smarter Car Hire Florida booking includes CDW, LDW, and SLI cover as standard. This means you are covered for damage to the hire car, theft, total loss, and third-party liability, with zero excess payable in the event of a claim.
